Hailing from the hills of western Maine, Junco performs an original, award-winning blend of rock, folk, and jazz. The band is made up of bassist Anthony Branca, guitarist Jeremy Holden, drummer Alex Ouellette, singer/guitarist Bobby Sheehan, and oboist Dan Stackhouse. Since their inception Junco has released an EP, Waking the Sleeping Giant in May 2015 and a full-length album, The Night the Lake Stood Still in March 2017. They are one-time winners and two-time finalists of the 93.5 WMWV Local Song of the Year Contest and have been featured guests on the Cold River Radio Show and WCSH6's 207. Over the years Junco has performed across Maine and New Hampshire at venues such as Stone Mountain Arts Center, the Portland House of Music, Blue, Tuckerman Brewing Co., and played festivals including Arts Jubilee, the Dam Jam, Bath Heritage Days, and Toad Hill. While channeling the sounds of the Dave Matthews Band, the Grateful Dead, and Paul Simon, Junco's lively stage presence, improvisational approach, and upbeat themes all add up to a show not to be missed.
